Umami Dancetheatre

Umami Dance Theatre, they are Gustavo Hoyos (Spain) and Jerome Leperlier (France) Bboying (Breakdance) dancers, with a wide experience in the dance world.

They started working together in August 2012 and in December 2013 they founded

Umami Dancetheatre in Madrid with the aim of transforming streets and squares into improvised stages.

Umami is a Japanese word meaning "tasty" and is one of the five basic flavors with sweet, sour, bitter and salty.

With this inspiration, they created the company and gave it a strong comic touch, using scenic languages such as Bboying (Breakdance), physical comedy, pantomime and theater.

Umami Dancetheatre makes the audience feel like they are in the middle of it all during their performance.

An adventure of two hilarious characters, told through several interwoven non-stop stories that leave you without a glimps. Totally different from anything you've tasted before.

This street dance duo creates classic dance numbers with contemporary touches in an off-the-wall, slightly surreal, funny and very talented blend of Bboy style, pantomime, theater and physical comedy.

The audience is the link in their story here.

It is a show full of energy that makes you see the world in a positive way.

A world where there is no place for any kind of discrimination based on race, age or gender or whatever.
